The difficult we do immediately. The impossible takes a little bit longer. --U.S. Navy Seabees--

So I realized that I haven't done much at all post-wise except Andrew's monthly updates and I said I was gonna do more and still haven't...so I'm gonna start with the Seabee Ball that we went to in March!

My three friends and I previously went shopping in February to get gowns, which was SO fun! We found some awesome dresses and it was so fun to dress up super nice and fancy! We met at one of the couples houses cuz they lived a block away from where the ball was being held, and got ready there and took some pics. I'm glad we did because no one liked the pics the photographer at the ball took! Well they were ok but I like these better ;)

My friend Morgan and me! She's the one Evelyn is going to be flower girl for. I've only known her for a year now but she is an amazing girl and I'm so glad we're friends! :)

The rest of the girls (well at least the ones that met at the house, there were definitely more wives at the ball)

Morgan, me, and Beverly!

My best gals here! I feel so lucky and happy to have such wonderful women to be stationed with.  I'm going to be SO sad when we leave!!!!!!

The Korpi's! I LOVE her dress!

Morgan and Erwin, they're so cute together!

The (now) Downings! They just got married a couple weeks ago!

And I think these two are newly engaged :)

Mike and Beverly

Me and my best bestie! We've been together three years now! Love this girl!

My dashing hubby and I! I love when they wear their dress uniforms!

Studly men :)

Anywho....I didn't take any pics at the actual ball cuz I only brought my phone but it was a super fun night! A lot of "ceremonial" type stuff at the beginning, dinner, and dancing! I loved being able to just hang out with these awesome people and partake in some awesome military traditions. Makes me very proud to be a military family when I attend ceremonial events and feel that sense of pride in our nation and these amazing men and women that are with us. (This ball was in honor of the Seabee Birthday just FYI.)

I really don't have too much else to say about the night...nothing specific anyway but it was super fun (it was my first ball btw!) and I look forward to the upcoming ones!

Andrew {8 Months} & More! :)

Andrew has had a pretty productive little month! At the very end of our Missouri trip he officially started crawling. He was so happy with himself! I love how excited and proud of himself he gets when he learns something. So cute! It's almost like he's saying, hey mom! look! look what I can do! :)  I love how excited he gets about things! Anywho....We had a great trip to Grammy's and I'm so glad we got to go so everyone could meet my sweet boy! He was pretty good on the flights home and when we got home he got to meet his Auntie Jessica for the first time! It was her kids spring break so she came down to have a quick visit which was so great! The kids had a blast and Jessica and I had lots of fun talking and hanging out!

Anywho...after all our visiting/traveling calmed down we've just been getting back to our regular routine and trying to catch up on things. Andrew has been ALL over the house and loves crawling under things. He gets so mad when he gets stuck, but then he just does it again :) Not too long after we got home he also started to pull himself up...first he'd get on his knees and now he's pulling himself up standing everywhere he can. He can get down from his knees but not from standing yet so he stands there til he gets unhappy and realizes he can't get down. Most of the time when he wakes up from his naps, he'll play for a bit and then stands up and cries til I get him :) Luckily he hasn't shown any interest in walking/moving his feet so hopefully he holds off on walking awhile. I've put him in his walker too and he hasn't been going anywhere in that either.

He really loves cruising around the house discovering things though. He's found all the springy/door stop things and likes to pull on them to make noise. He likes to pull things off my kitchen island but usually my cookie sheets and then he hurts himself...gotta figure out how to keep him out of there... He's pretty darn determined though...when he find something he wants to do/get into that he shouldn't, he doesn't forget it. I'll bring him away and try to distract him with something else but he just turns around and heads back :)

Other than his mobility, Andrew has also been talking up a storm...he says the ma ma's, ba ba's and now da da's and this week he's been doing a lot of t's which he thinks is pretty fun. He's been in that "bounce" type of stage a little bit this month as well as liking to rock back and forth and bang his head against things behind him...weird... He still loves to eat and gets excited/anxious when he knows its coming. He'll eat pretty much anything which is nice. He's pretty funny though cuz if he has his binky in his mouth and I put him in his high chair and give him some food he'll just hold it or play with it until I take his binky out...he won't just spit it out. And I know he can cuz when he has it in and I go to nurse him, he'll pop it out. He's a funny little thing. We went to the beach last weekend and he kept trying to eat the sand so I clamped the binky on his shirt and popped it in his mouth and as long as he had it in he wouldn't eat the sand. thank goodness!

Another thing after we got back from our trip was that we put his crib in his room and started having him sleep in there. It didn't go too bed at first and he quickly started sleeping better and is now sleeping from the time we put him to bed (around 8 with Evelyn) til 6am! woohoo! SO glad that went easier than I thought! And easier than getting Evelyn to sleep through the night! He's had a couple nights where he'll wake up around 3 and eat and then go back to sleep but that's still better than 2-3 times a night. Unfortunately he's not a very long napper during the day but I guess I can't have it all :) Oh and one other thing, he's starting to "share"...he'll be chewing on something and then hand it to you or try to stick it in your mouth...very sweet...and drooly ;)

Well that's all I have on my list right now! Andrew is just the cutest darn thing and such a great baby. I'm excited for the new things ahead for him! Here's some pics, which I'm including some from last month/our trip/family time as well as cute little Andrew ;)
