"Homecoming means coming home to what is in your heart."

As most of you know, Mark is HOME! He's been home a week now and we had a wonderful, wonderful, week off work to enjoy, as well as Thanksgiving! But that's for later...first of off his homecoming! He was supposed to come home around noon but that got pushed back so we had to waste our day away until 5:00 which is when they really got there. We went to the theater on base (that's where the buses drop off the guys) and waited for a loong while. Our good friends, the Evans, were there with us (her hubby was in Okinawa with Mark the entire time and they are also in our ward so we've gotten pretty close). Our other good friend/ward buddy, Chelsea, graciously took some pics for us so here they are!

Evelyn in her cute little outfit! LOVE it!

My friend Gwyn braided her hair for me, SO FLIPPIN' CUTE!

instead of a sign outside we made cookies!

Nicole and her kiddos came over to waste time before we headed over to the theater.

waiting at the theater!

two hot momma's! :)

or not... :)

playin' at the theater with all the other kids!

Nicole and her beautiful baby!

the buses are sighted!!!

they're here! unfortunately they stopped RIGHT there to do the colors before they let the guys off...ugh! soooo cruel and such a major anticipation builder!!!!

luckily they gave us a heads up that they were on the last bus!

so intense!!!

and Nicole's hubby was first!!! :)

Mark was the LAST one off!

but yay!!! he's home!!!!

Evelyn wasn't so sure after the initial greeting.
so happy!

super happy!

she was still a little iffy...
not me though! :)

once we got home she was totally fine! she was so excited to play...she kept saying, do it again daddy!

see? happy :)

this is her saying, do it again, daddy! So pushy...

so cute!

"Home is where there's someone to love, and someone to love us."

Just wanted to send out a little post saying Evelyn and I are settled in our house in Mississippi and are doing well! We got here a week from Saturday, stayed a couple nights with friends, and Monday we moved into our house! So I've been unpacking and organizing and getting things settled in the house all week, doing some shopping, visiting friends....fun stuff! :) I also finished two of the three family sessions I did before I left, the Mergen's and Filetti's are now finished, they aren't on my blog yet but are up on facebook. I just need to finish the last one and I'll be done for awhile! :) Which is a good thing cuz Mark is coming home SOON!!!! SO EXCITED! And Thanksgiving is in 10 days! So much exciting stuff going on and HOPEFULLY this week passes QUICK!

Evelyn's been loving being back in a house...lots of time spent climbing the stairs, jumping off the couch, playing in her OWN room (YAY! So glad to have separate rooms again, so great! And she's been sleeping no prob, super great! :) This week we're just finishing up the house, finishing editing, and getting ready for daddy to come home! So not sure if I'm gonna be posting much for awhile, as usual, but they should be good ones! Sorry no pics today, haven't taken any recently :( anywho...have a great week!

"I'm a master of fright, / and a demon of light, / and I'll scare you right out of your pants." -Jack, 'Nightmare Before Christmas'

Well I gotta apologize, again, for being such a slacker on my blog. I've really been horrible about posting these past months. :( I guess I've just been busy but not busy so I haven't had much to post and then also I've been more focused on my photography so that blog is getting all the attention lately :) And I want to apologize beforehand for lack of posting after this. Evelyn and I are leaving on Friday (can you believe it???? I can't...although I've gotta say I'm soooo ready/anxious/antsy to go back! I've LOVED being in MO with my family and friends and am sooooo glad we came back for the deployment but I am SO READY for my hubby to be home!!!!!!!!!!! I miss him so much! It almost sucks being this close cuz I'm close but then I've got like 3 weeks or so more to wait! argh!)

...anywho....so I probably won't be posting too much cuz I've gotta unpack everything and set up my entire house (yay! I'm also super ready to have an actual house back and SPACE!). So I hope you stick around or at least check out my other blog and check out my work there...I've got three family sessions from this past week that I have to edit when I get back to MS so my time on the computer will be mainly dedicated to that and this blog will have to wait some more. :)

So yeah...here's some pics from the Halloween season this year! Last week we went to our ward's truck or treat party, the next day Evelyn and I went to the preschool Halloween party with Abrahm Matteo, and Santana, and then Halloween night we went to my friend Suzanne's house and hung out there with all the kiddos and Emily and her kiddos and we talked and had lots of fun! Suzanne is awesome and I'm sad to leave her right after she finally got back here (her hubby's in the military too, he flies the Stealth! SO cool! Anyway, they were in Europe for the past three year's and are finally back...I used to baby sit her little boys, who aren't so little anymore! They were some of the extra kiddos in the pics of Evelyn's b-day party:) anywho...back to the post....

My little cowgirl! I know I've had this on her a lot lately but this time she has her trusty horse Bullseye! :) I love this little sequence of pics ;)

All the kiddos! Well those I could catch on camera anyway :)

At the trunk or treat! She was loving this and was so cute going around saying "trick or treat!"

Evelyn getting candy from Suzanne! :)

And here's some pics from the preschool party! Evelyn loved being with the big kids and was so happy. They played duck, duck, goose and she just ran around while the kids played the right way :) She loved it so whatever goes goes! :)
