Europe Trip Part II {Norway}

On Saturday the 23rd we checked out of the hotel, drove to the airport and went our separate ways. It really really sucked to see Mark leave again but now we're on the downward slope of the deployment! Mark went back to hot Dijbouti and Elizabeth and I went off to Norway to visit Sarah, Thomas, and baby Olive! I figured we were already in Europe and might as well make the most of it and see more than one country! We spent four days there and had so much fun! We walked around Bergen most days and hung out at Sarah's house with our cute babies and just enjoying being in the same spot for a few days! With Sarah's adventurous life trotting around the globe it's hard to be in the same spot as her. I'm more than happy to go to new places to see her though ;) Haha!

Anyway, Norway was beautiful and we really enjoyed walking around seeing all the quaint cuteness that is Bergen. We went up the mountain next to Bergen and got a view of the whole city, which was gorgeous! Then we walked down, which took forEVER and my calves burned for DAYS after...it was sad. And like Germany, I love how much detail and character all the homes and towns had. My favorite thing about Norway was the awesome doors everyone had! They were all different styles, shapes, colors, and beautiful details! I took a lot of pictures of them ;) I took a lot of pictures everywhere of course but the doors were fun.

We walked around some antique stores which was fun, had lunch at a super cute cafe, and ate the BEST ICE CREAM ever! Seriously SO GOOD. It was a soft serve that they rolled in a topping of your choice, I got the caramel crunchy nut one and it was deeeliiiicious! So sad we don't have that here :(

The last day there we went for a long drive and went to some fjord's and cute little Norwegian towns...I loved driving through the beautiful countryside, it was like driving through a postcard :) So gorgeous and quaint and I want to live somewhere like that! Not Norway though....it gets waaaay too cold! I got lucky and had some gorgeous weather while I was there.

Well here's some pics from our trip!

Cute Momma Sarah! :) I loved seeing her with baby Olive! It was so fun and sweet and awesome :)

dear Thomas took pity on me and found me some Dr. Pepper...it was SO EXPENSIVE...ridiculous really! But it tasted SO AMAZING! There's hardly any Dr. Pepper anywhere in Europe

I don't really know what else to say about our trip but it was tons of fun and I'm so glad we did it! Norway was amazing, it was double amazing to see Sarah, Olive, & Thomas, and I'm super excited for the next time I get to see them cuz hopefully it'll be somewhere fun & new again! :) :) :)
