Here's some facts about my boy!
Andrew weighs 33 lbs and is 29 1/2 in. tall and is a SOLID little guy! He's seriously so heavy and thick and just a big boy!
He is ALL BOY...he LOVES trains, cars, balls, running, yelling, tractors, well really any machine...planes, helicopters, boats....he has a book of vehicles/etc. and LOVES it! He looks at each page and goes, "oooooo!!!!!!!!!!" It's so cute!
He is SUCH a helpful, sweet little guy...he loves to help put away dishes from the dishwasher, he loves to help put away laundry, he loves to help bring in the groceries and put things away.
He's in a very ROUTINE state of mind right now...like he has to do the same things the same way when he does something, like one day I had him carry in a grocery bag after he got out of the car and now EVERY TIME he gets out of the car he goes to the back of the car and wants me to open it so he can carry something in. Or Carmen was helping a neighbor by taking their dog out and feeding it while they were out of town so we'd go on walks and get the dog. So one night we went on a walk and went by the house but didn't get the dog and he was so mad that we didn't get it!
He plays super good on his own...when Evelyn is gone at school or something he goes and plays in the playroom by himself and entertains himself so well, it's so nice! :)
He's still 80% of the time taking 2 naps a day and lately when he goes to bed he has his "routine" of stuff he wants....which includes, his blanket, binky, sometimes a cup, a book, his daddy doll, and another blanket on the bed. He's really starting a nice collection of things :)
He loves the pool and has no fear at all....we've gone to my friends pool a few times and he just walks right up to the edge and steps right off into it and sinks right under (he wears a floaty). He comes up so happy and excited and smiling...it's hilarious. And then he gets out and does it over and over and over.
After Evelyn and her excellent vocabulary, Andrew has been a little slower...which I'm not too worried about...I know boys in general talk later and being the second child too changes things up...and I already have a very talkative first child so aching for a second talker yet :) so finally the past few months he's been actually saying things and trying to repeat things we say to him. So that's been fun. This past week he learned "no" though, not so excited about that one....He mostly just babbles along in his own way and will throw in a real world here and there :) He says mom, dad (of course), baby, shoes, done, down, ball, car, choo choo, barks for dog,....I can't think of anything else right now but he's getting there! I love his little voice too :) So cute!
He's definitely broadening his play areas...he loves to play with his trains and cars the most but lately has been interested in puzzles, his farm/animals, play-doh, coloring, blocks, the play kitchen, baby dolls, Evelyn's princesses, and her Minnie dolls :)
He's started to get a little more "independent", most noticeably with his food...he still loves to eat but is getting pickier and just wants to snack most of the time...he used to eat pretty much anything and I never had any problems with him eating dinner but now he's decided to be picky and he's not at the age where you can "reason" or talk to him about eating "3 more bites" or something like that :) Well if he's hungry he'll eat right? :) He does LOVE fruit though and LOVES yogurt so luckily his favorite things aren't horrible. :)
Andrew is really just a sweet, wonderful, little boy and I'm so happy to have him in our family! He still has to learn not to be so rough (he is SO strong!), but he is so sweet and has such a happy, excited personality. I just love him! :)
Here is some pics for each month of the past year! He's grown so much, I can't believe it!
