Elizabeth {7 Months!}

Three posts in two days, crazy right? :) Well little Miss Lizzie is 7 months old today! She is fully sitting on her own and can get down from it to roll around and crawl...which she's FULLY crawling now too and going anywhere and everywhere around the house! She's getting into lots of stuff too, which is oh so fun.... :/ She really picked it up quick though and just took off! She loves playing and exploring the house though and is such a good baby!

She's starting to sleep better...well at least she's taking regular naps and going to sleep on her own, which is nice. She goes down really easy at night but still wakes up quite a bit, mostly just to nurse though. I have tried feeding her baby food/mashed up food but she doesn't let me get any in her mouth- she just pushes it away or spits it out. So we haven't done much with real real foods- she does like to eat things she can pick up herself and feed herself so we're starting out with stuff like that :) She loves to sit up in the high chair and snack or play and watch the other kids. She is a bit picky- mostly seen with her binky...she likes this ONE binky and I have the same type of binky, one a different color and another the same exact as her fav and so I lost the fav last week and she won't take any other one now...which isn't too big of a problem so I think I'll just go with it ;)

She is just really the sweetest, cutest, happiest little thing and such a joy to me!

Epic Adventure of Tara, Maria, and Whitney

I just realized I never finished this post! A few days after Carmen left me, my two best friends, Whitney and Maria, from college came out for a week to visit! I hadn't seen these guys since Maria's wedding three 1/2 years ago so I was beyond excited they were coming! We had such an awesome week and I'm so glad they were able to come. 

We started the week off at a beach house on base....which went good and not so good, mainly just because Andrew had a hard time sleeping there and wouldn't nap much. But we had a lot of fun at the beach and just hanging out! The kids loved spending so much time at the beach too and bonus! ...None of us got burnt! Woohoo! :)

We spent some time taking turns playing out in the water on the boogie boards :) Super fun :)

After our beach days we hung out at my house watching TV (mostly Raising Hope which is HILARIOUS and Whitney had never seen), playing with the kiddos, and going through my college scrapbooks, which was super fun :) We got to get out a couple times with just the baby though which was awesome! 

I introduced them to the awesomeness that is the DQ cupcake :) YUM

Then the last night they were here we went to a Fondue restaurant in Wilmington called "The Little Dipper", which was ammmmaaazzzingly delicious!!!

Anyway, I love these girls and miss them so much! We had a lot of great laughs and I am very grateful for them coming out to see me! I'm really looking forward to the next time we can get together, which hopefully isn't 3 1/2 years!
