Summer 2016

This summer flew by! It seriously feels like school just ended but it's already started and we're in two months! So crazy! It's been a busy summer and at the same time not :) The kids went to summer school most of the summer, they did a fairy tale/enchanted forest type of theme so they had fun :) It was super nice though because they got out of the house for a part of the day and I got to get some work done! I've been a lot busier this year with sessions, which has been awesome!!! I've had so many awesome sessions, I love shooting in Spain so much!

Otherwise, summer was full of cookouts, church activities, swimming, beach days, and trying to stay sane ;) One week I enrolled Evelyn in a theater camp on base. They take one week, have tryouts and rehearsals and the last day of the week they perform. This year they did Sleeping Beauty. Evelyn was a little caterpillar/butterfly. She didn't want to go at first but she had been complaining of not getting to do anything fun so I made her go and then she was so excited about it. I'm glad she did it :) She was so cute to watch!

At the end of summer school, the kids had a little performance, similar to the end of the school year one. Each class had a little dance performance, it was super cute! Evelyn's best friend Addie was in the summer school too, along with her little sister, who Lizzie and Andrew love, so it was especially awesome to see them all together :)

We spent some time at the pool and beach too... Not as much as we should have but eh ;) Evelyn and Andrew even took a few swim lessons. Again not as many as we should have but...eh ;) ;) ;)

Here's a few random pics from the summer :)

calm moments like this are fairly few so I have to capture them :)

looking super adorable at church :)

having some fun at a church activity!

they came home a lot from school with their faces painted

Drive in movie night! We didn't do this too much in the summer since the sun goes down SUPER late but I love having a drive in movie theater!

beach day :)

this is the BEST way to keep three toddlers entertained and in one spot at the beach ;) ;) ;)

someone needed a naptime :)

bowling day!

The last free weekend before school started was Labor Day Weekend so Mark had a long weekend. We took one day to do a little day trip to the Tarifa area. There are some Roman Ruins there that we explored. Then we were supposed to go on a boat ride to go whale watching but it was too windy to go out far enough to look for the whales so the boat only went around the bay. Which at least there were a lot of dolphins for us to watch there! The kids had fun.

the dolphins were pretty fun to watch...they're so playful!
