"A child's life is like a piece of paper on which every person leaves a mark" --Chinese Proverb--

Well little Andrew hit the one month mark a week ago! He had his 1 month check up on Friday and weighed a whoppin' 12lbs 9oz! He's definitely my little porker boy :) I looked at Evelyn's baby book and at 2 months she weighed just 11 lbs...granted her birth weight was also lower than Andrew's but still...he's growing a lot quicker than she did! He's pretty long though so he's not overly chubby but is getting some more rolls on him and is super adorable. Everyone LOVES his hair and I get lots of compliments on it. He's getting a lot more interactive with us, still loves to be talked to and smile at us. Evelyn loves to talk to him and sing him songs, which is super cute...her favorite to sing are "Book of Mormon Stories" and "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star". Someday I'll put videos on here...

Unfortunately he's not all smiles and cuteness...a week and a half ago he started that "cry-at-night-for-a-good-hour-or-so-for-no-reason-and-won't-be-comforted" thing that babies do...ugh. He at least isn't as inconsolable as Evelyn was at this phase. Mark and I just take turns til he conks out which is a better system than both of us trying cuz we get a break :) Inconsolable, crying babies really can get super frustrating! Sometimes he is comforted by the vacuum, which is a nice quick fix, but hasn't worked the past few nights so bummer on that one. But at least it's before we go to bed so it's not ruining my sleep. He's still pretty good sleeping-wise, mostly waking up around 1 and 5 to eat and then 7 which then I just stay up. Every once and awhile he wakes up more or is "restless". He's a real grunter/restless sleeper after 5 so I'm constantly waking up cuz I think he's waking up and then he doesn't. That's pretty annoying :) But overall he's a wonderful baby! I'm still not getting horribly much done cuz he wants to be held when he's awake but he takes nice long naps so I've gotten a few things done in that time :)

This past week Mark used a couple days of his paternity leave to stay home for a couple days...which also coincided with his birthday so that was a nice long weekend for us to enjoy and celebrate! I finally got around to taking some pictures of Mark in his uniform and the baby, which I've been wanting to do for a long time, and they turned out pretty good! I wanted one of his dress uniforms but they didn't have the "right" medals/ribbons/whatever on them so he didn't want to but oh well. The khaki uniform is my fav anyway :) I also got some of Evelyn and Andrew too which are super cute! I haven't edited too many though so here's a few :)

This is my all time favorite!!! I LOVE his big, curious eyes poking out! Too cute!

I don't have too much else to say so I'll just go through the rest of my pics on my phone to show what we've been up to :)

One month old!

I finished another part of Evelyn's costume...her arrow bag! :)

Of course another pic of his hair :)

and here's his beautiful blue eyes! they're turning a pretty blue right now :)

Mark and Evelyn at lunch on his birthday!

Listening to his sister :)

My two little loves!

Mark "blowing" out his candles, I didn't have any :) This was seriously THE BEST CHOCOLATE CAKE EVER though!!!! here's a link to it... http://www.sophisticatedgourmet.com/2010/06/chocolate-strawberry-layer-cake/....super duper amazing and moist and chocolatey! I couldn't stop eating it and I want to make it again but know I'll eat it all and gain like 10 lbs from it :) Anyway, we had a nice, fun birthday weekend for Mark. Spent lots of quality time together and even got some us time! Our friend Morgan watched the kiddos so we could go see "The Dark Knight Rises" on Saturday, which was AMAZING. such a good movie series!

And I redid my yard some more.... :) Some of my plants died after I fixed it the first time so I rearranged a bit and added some pretty mums to make it prettier and more colorful! So much better.

At the dr's office on friday.

hanging out at the gym while Evelyn does gymnastics!

He holds his head up so well!

Anyway....there's our week or so for you! Not too much going on really but we're enjoying the days Mark's taking off (he's taking off two this week too for a long weekend) and really enjoying some cooler weather! SO glad it's cooler!
