"Gratitude is a mark of a noble soul and a refined character. We like to be around those who are grateful. They tend to brighten all around them. They make others feel better about themselves." Author: Joseph B. Wirthlin

Happy Late Thanksgiving everyone! Or rather, I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! :) Ours was pretty awesome. We drove all the way to Huntsville, AL last Monday to spend the week with the rest of the Erwin family and had so much fun! The kids loved it, we loved it, super great holiday! :) Mark's parents came up too and even Amy flew out with her boyfriend and his daughter and we stayed at Michael and Jessica's so the whole gang was there!

Evelyn and Andrew spent the whole time playing with the cousins and Evelyn even went to see "Frozen" with the cousins and grandparents, which she loved. Mark and I got to spend lots of fun time with the adults as well as got to go out and see a movie together (Hunger Games:Catching Fire=AWESOME!). And I got to spend some quality time with my two amazing SIL's, which was super fun! We went shopping (I pretty much got all my Christmas shopping done last week, yay!) and then the three couples got to go to dinner one night while the kiddos stayed with the grandparents, which was super fun!....man I miss being close to family!

Then of course there was Thanksgiving with lots of yummy food, lots of people, and lots of yummy pie! It was a wonderful holiday dinner and fun holiday. Other than prepping everything, eating, and being lazy after, there isn't a whole lot left to say on that! :)

Our last day there was a bit of an exciting one...the Alabama/Auburn Iron Bowl game was on, and although we lost at the last second...literally...it was an exciting/intense/crazy/fun game to watch! Better to watch a nail-better close game than a boring blow out I say! We ended the night playing games though so it was still a fun day! :) Oh and of course the most exciting/happy part was Amy's boyfriend (Matt is his name and Avril is his daughter) got engaged! We were all super excited about that and excited to meet him a little too! Super nice guy!

I didn't take too many pics while we were there...too busy relaxing/enjoying the family time :) But I did get some the last day with all the kiddos in their Bama gear and watching the game! Everyone actually was wearing Bama gear but we only got the kids pic.

Touchdown!

My happy Bama boy!

so cute :)

Evelyn and her Auntie Amy!

And the two lone Erwin boys! The girls are really starting to take over this side of grandkids!

And the rest of the pics are from my phone...

Of course the only time the way there they alllll sleep is when I drive! Psh!

Me and my boy!

they're REALLY into Bama football  :)

touchdown!

<3 td="" this="">

he got closer and closer the more intense it got :)

driving home! We discovered dramamine works on her...

but not so much on him! he looks cranky here but he was actually being silly...although he barely slept the whole way home which was frustrating!

And there's that! It was an awesome Thanksgiving trip and the drive even wasn't too bad! We drove straight through both ways and the kids did really great with only a few cranky moments. I'm super grateful we had a fun week with the Erwin's and have family somewhat close to be able to go to! I missed my fam of course but it's just waaay too far to drive for just a week :( Anywho, this past year has been a great year and we have a lot to be thankful for, that's for sure! Love you all!
