"There are three things that last: faith, hope and love, and the greatest of these is love." - I Corinthians 13:13

As most of you can guess from my last post, my sweet little niece Sierra got married! They decided to get married on November 21, which happens to be my parents anniversary, which this year was the day after my grandma's memorial so I was able to be there for the wedding! This also gave me a chance to take pics which was a lot of fun. So here's pics, which include bridals, family, ceremony, cake, and pics of the bride and groom. Oh, and sorry no comments, there's just too many pics.

"Of all the attitudes we can acquire, surely the attitude of gratitude is the most important and by far the most life-changing.” --Zig Ziglar--

As most of you know, I went home last week for my Grandma's Memorial. It was a busy, slightly chaotic visit home but so wonderful to be with my fam! We had a wonderful, and emotional, Memorial for Grandma on Saturday and quite a bit of family (besides the Missouri ones) came to be there. It was a good way to remember and celebrate Grandma's life.

We had another celebration on Sunday, which I won't go into detail now cuz we're leaving in a bit to go up to Alabama for Thanksgiving (YAY!) but here's a sneak peak! I took the pics for the event, which was fun, and I think I did a pretty dang good job! I also tweaked around with the first one on Adobe Photoshop (so fun!) cuz it was a bit dark but I think it looks pretty neat!

Anywho...Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Hope you all have a wonderful, grateful day! Love ya!

From home to home, and heart to heart, from one place to another. The warmth and joy of Christmas, brings us closer to each other. --Emily Matthews--

Lately I've been doing a lot of lookin' online for cards, for a couple of different reasons, the main one being for a Christmas card. There are so many websites out there nowadays and so many different places to print your holiday cards, it can be kind of overwhelming! One of my favorites is Shutterfly, which I've used for various other projects...photo books, getting prints for our house. They have so many projects you can do and they are especially great for holidays, whether it be Christmas, Mother's Day, Thanksgiving, Halloween, etc.

It's almost overwhelming to choose from Shutterfly's collection, just cuz they have so many great ones! But you can narrow it down to different options if you know what you are looking for, such as color, number of photos, size of card, etc. It's kinda fun to try out different options and test out your photos on the ones you like. They make it so simple and easy to do a cute Christmas card!

So far these are my favorites, I just can't choose! It would help if I had a picture of the three of us I want to use but I just haven't found the right one yet. So hard to take a good pic yourself! I'll have to get one of my friends to take one or something.

One of the best things about Shutterfly is there are always having great promotions, such as free shipping, great discounts, etc. Right now they are doing one for bloggers. Bloggers get 50 free holiday cards from Shutterfly, follow the arrow -->http://bit.ly/sfly2010 to see how!

"For death is no more than a turning of us over from time to eternity." --William Penn--

I don't have any delicate way to say this so I'll just out with it...after over a year and half spent in a hospital, my Grandma Fredrick has now passed on. She suffered another stroke last Thursday, which is when my dad was called and said he needed to come out there so he flew out Friday to be there. Her body/organs were being too stressed and some were starting to fail and the last stroke kinda put it over the edge. So they took her off some stuff (I don't have specifics but they aren't necessary), gave her pain medication, and she passed away on Sunday.

All her daughters and her son were there to say goodbye this weekend along with her husband and friends. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. I am glad my dad made it out there to be with her one last time and I am especially grateful to have been able to visit her this past summer to say goodbye and that she was able to meet Evelyn. I know we will be with her again someday so this is just farewell for now but we will still miss her! We love you Grandma!

Here's some pics from the past couple years that I have, mostly ones from the hospital from whenever any of us would visit, and some random ones from farther back.

"Trick or treat smell my feet, give me something good to eat!"

This Halloween was definitely more fun for Evelyn than the last, granted she was only a couple weeks old but still :) Saturday Mark and I carved our pumpkins and Evelyn ate snacks and watched.

mmm! pumpkin guts! I actually saved the pumpkin seeds this year and toasted them with some butter and garlic salt and they were yummy!!!

My Pumpkin!

Sunday is when our neighborhood on base did trick or treating so we went around with our friends then. Evelyn was dressed up as a little princess, dress courtesy of cousin Kady :) She wasn't a huge fan of the dress cuz she didn't like the lace at the end of her sleeves but quickly forgot about it when she got out with the kids. We went with L and V and our new neighbor boy, Landon, who is just a month older than Evelyn. They all looked soooo adorable and had so much fun!

Ready to go!

On the hunt!

And disappointment :) These people weren't home and I don't think I got a pic of them actually getting candy.

Evelyn absolutely LOVED trick or treating and was so into it! She almost didn't want to stop :) She kept sneaking candy out of her bag when I wasn't looking and was just loving everything. I haven't given her too much actual candy before this and she was thrilled to be getting so much in one day.
I got candy!

And there's more in here!

But you can't have any!
